Artistic Director Harry Christophers and Concertmaster Aisslinn Nosky continue their critically-praised survey of the orchestral music of Joseph Haydn. The sequel to 2012ís Haydn in Paris, the program has Nosky taking the stage in Haydnís seldom-heard Violin Concerto in C Major, followed by a powerful foray into the minor key, the dramatic Symphony No. 83.

Composed by the master at the tender age of 13, Mozartís Waisenhaus Mass receives a rare performance from conductor Richard Egarr, the Period Instrument Orchestra, and soloists from H+Hís own Chorus. Haydn The Creation

Inspired by Haydnís trips to England, where he first heard Handelís oratorios, The Creation is widely considered Haydnís crowning masterpiece. Based on both the biblical Genesis and Miltonís Paradise Lost, the oratorio was premiered in the US by H+H in 1819 and hasnít been performed by the ensemble since 2001.

Join us for this special concert, held in conjunction with the 2015 Chorus America conference, which will have Harry Christophers conducting some of his favorite choral selections in front of an audience of choral enthusiasts. This program surveys some of the most moving vocal music of the past four centuries, from the glorious counterpoint of Palestrina to the spiritual minimalism of Arvo Pšrt.
